Young Lawyer Committee

The Alexandria Bar's Young Lawyers Section is dedicated to supporting the Alexandria Bar Association, the local community, and our young lawyers. The group hosts regular events networking events. At these events, young lawyers (generally defined as 37 and younger) can meet new attorneys, learn about the Alexandria Bar Association, and make connections in the community.

In addition to monthly networking events, the group hosts other special events throughout the year. The Young Lawyers Section has supported the Legal Food Frenzy annual fundraiser and hosts a social gathering for Pegasus Scholars from England every year. The Pegasus Scholarship is an exchange program, wherein young English barristers travel to the United States for six weeks to learn about the legal system. Young Lawyers have also participated in the Annual Community Service Day for Spring for Alexandria and the Annual Golf Tournament for the Dunbar Alexandria-Olympic Boys & Girls Club.

If you are a young lawyer or you would like to find out more about the Alexandria Bar Association's Young Lawyer Section, please contact the bar office. You can also contact the Young Lawyer Committee Contacts to the right to check out the Facebook page for additional information.
