Associated General Counsel – Commercial Real Estate

The Role

Small family-owned real estate company seeking a business-minded attorney to serve as Associate General Counsel.

This is a fully in-person position based in Merrifield, Virginia, and requires regular interaction with tenants, vendors, brokers, and local stakeholders, as well as frequent site visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full lifecycle of commercial real estate acquisitions, including site/deal evaluation, negotiations, contract drafting, due diligence, title review, and all aspects of closings
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, amendments, and related property management agreements
• Oversee legal aspects of commercial evictions and coordinate court proceedings where appropriate

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active member of the Virginia Bar in good standing (or eligible to waive in)
• 3+ years of relevant experience in commercial real estate law
• Strong experience with commercial leasing and real estate transactions

Salary:

 $250,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
