As expected, fraud relating to the COVID-19 pandemic is being prosecuted for the first time this year. These crimes of opportunity were predictable, and the Department of Justice has made good on its promise take swift action against offenders. This course will review recent trends surrounding COVID-19 related crime, the False Claims Act and what practitioners need to know to provide the highest level of representation for those being investigated and/or prosecuted as a result of this new wave.
