CLE: Rule 6.1 & the Voluntary Pro Bono Reporting Rule

VSB Special Committee on Access to Legal Services, the VSB Young Lawyer Conference, and the Alexandria Bar Association will host a 1 hour CLE on Rule 6.1 & Voluntary Pro Bono Reporting Rule (1.0 Ethics).   Attendees will earn 1 hour of MCLE ethics credit while learning about the new voluntary pro bono reporting rule, which will be incorporated into this year’s annual dues statement as a new section. In addition to learning about the mechanics and scope of the new rule, attendees will brush up on the Rule 6.1 aspirational pro bono service goals, the definition of pro bono, and the types of contributions that can be reported on the dues statement. The presentation will wrap up with an overview of local pro bono programs to help lawyers connect with service opportunities that meets their unique needs and interests.
